Leadership in Extraordinary Times

The Mercedes-AMG Petronas partnership has unquestionably achieved extraordinary success, culminating in their record-breaking seventh consecutive double World Championship title in 2020. Impressively, that last title was achieved against the turbulent backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Black Lives Matter movement as well as increased scrutiny over issues such as diversity and sustainability.

The two men jointly responsible for the success of that partnership are Toto Wollf and Tengku Taufik. Whilst they have been close partners in delivering this triumph and have faced many similar leadership challenges, they have done so in different sectors and in organisations of very different sizes.

Toto and Tengku will be talking to Oxford Saïd's Michael  Smets and Marya Besharov about their individual approaches to leadership, not just personal leadership but also organisational and societal leadership, and considering the impact that they have had.
